Who We Are
Franc Sloan
I’m most proud of the fact that I have developed a deep and fulfilling spiritual life that fills me with joy and never ceases to amaze me.
I have a profound loving relationship—now in its thirtieth year—with the most mysterious Katherine Martin. Katherine and I continually champion each other to grow, celebrating each other’s freedom and independence. And I love our son Benjamin way beyond reason. My commitment to Katherine and Benjamin has made me a much better person than I ever imagined possible.
I have a handful of very dear friends; none more so than Lawrence Stoller. Lawrence lives a life that matters—as an artist, businessman, husband and friend. He knows this is his world.
I have done a lot of things...sailed boats, been in the military, traded commodities, bought and sold real estate and produced a feature film. I created and conducted financial seminars and raised money across the country for The Hunger Project, an international hunger organization. I have been certified as a Personal Coach both by Motivational Management Services and by The Coaches Training Institute.
I love working with Louis who touches me with his rare blend of humor, wisdom and enormous compassion. We both marvel at our great fortune—spending our days forging alliances with outrageous, creative and courageous people.

After graduating from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, I began my career with MSA Industries. I was given enormous opportunities and learned, first hand, the realities of running a profitable business. In seven years I advanced to Senior Vice-President. Burned out and anxious to try my hand as an entrepreneur, I left MSA Industries to start my own company.
My commitment to myself and to my new company was to have success come easily and to minimize struggle and hardship for myself, my employees and our customers. I was determined to have success be a natural expression of my strength and character. In short order, Floor Space, Incorporated became a highly successful company that I eventually sold to a group led by management.
Integral to my roles as husband, father and businessman, is a deep, lifelong commitment to my personal growth. I am well read and well practiced, able to integrate both the very pragmatic approaches required of business with the insights and perspectives found within personal growth.
I currently consult privately, conduct seminars, and volunteer with SCORE.
